Instructors: The instructors would consist of well-respected ASHI members that have teaching experience and are recognized as home inspector trainers in Illinois . The instructors have presented not only in their home states, but also nationally and are recognized by numerous national organizations as leaders in the profession. Following is a brief resume of the instructors that will be providing your training.


Chuck Charles M. Bellefontaine - A leader in the home inspection field since 1991. He personally completed over 3,000 Home Inspections ranging from Executive Homes to Public Housing Units of the CHA. Charles is active in the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) both on the Local and National levels. Charles is the current Vice President of the American Society of Home Inspectors, past president of the Illinois Society of Professional Home Inspectors, and has held numerous other leadership positions in the home inspection field. He has been quoted by numerous national and local news agencies as an expert in the home inspection profession. Charles is also a professional firefighter since 1984, and is very interested in safety conditions in the home.
Corey Corey Friedman – As a well respected home inspector since 1988, he established Greater Chicago Home Inspections located in Northbrook , IL . His extensive background in construction dates back to 1981 as a builder and general contractor. Corey achieved the highest level of a supervisory licensed electrician in 1987. He has been an active member of the American Society of Home Inspectors since 1993. He is a leader in the local Northern Illinois Chapter of ASHI. Corey is also a member of the National Fire Protection Agency, International Association of Electrical Inspectors, International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, American Indoor Air Quality Council, and the Architectural Engineering Institute. His technical expertise is a valued bonus that students use consistently as a reference to any unusual situation.
Steve Steve Duchene - A successful and respected home inspector in the North and Central Illinois. His extensive construction background began in 1972 , where he acquired his knowledge of construction methods and materials. In 1979 he started his construction career by building 45 homes, remodeling numerous commercial and thousands of residential projects. He is a past Board member of the local chapter of the National Association of Home Builders. He won the National Association of Home Builders, “1989 Parade of Homes Best of Show”. He is an active member of ASHI and NICASHI. He is an Illinois licensed asbestos inspector and a certified mold inspector.
Jack

Jack McGraw - A very successful home inspector with over thirty years experience in the construction field. He ran a construction company managing large accounts including, Block Buster Video, and Boston Market. Now a retired contractor, and retired Lt / Fire Fighter Paramedic, Jack has a passion for the home inspection industry. He is the president of Jacks Home Services. Also, he is currently Vice President of the Northern Illinois Chapter of Home Inspectors locally, and runs the candidates program in this chapter. On the national level he is on the membership committee with the American Society of Home Inspectors. Jack’s marketing abilities, experience in the construction field, and Fire Fighting knowledge, are great assets for students just coming into the home inspection business.

Barry Barry Kreiter - has completed thousands of inspections ranging from studio condominiums to luxury mansions and new construction to historic properties. Barry believes that an educated client is ultimately a satisfied client. The best way to serve his clients is educating them about the construction method used, any maintenance issues to be aware of for that particular type of construction and mechanical systems, how to operate their new property efficiently and especially any health or safety issues the client must be aware of. Barry is a member of ASHI. Barry developed a mentoring program for the Northern Illinois Chapter of ASHI. Barry was the NIC/ASHI Chapter President for 2006 after serving as Vice-President for 2004 and 2005. Barry has been an instructor with the Bellman Group since 2003. He brings his vast knowledge and expertise to class and shares it with his students with great enthusiasm.
